There are no rules here—this session is about you.

When you book a session with me, you're getting more than beautiful photos—you're getting an experience that's relaxed, fun, and completely centered around you. I want you to feel comfortable from the moment we meet, so there's never any pressure to be "perfect." If you'd like to see a few photos on the back of my camera as we go, absolutely! Want to bring multiple outfits or change your mind halfway through the session? That's perfectly fine, too. We'll take our time, laugh a lot, and create something that feels authentic to you. My goal is to capture genuine moments while making sure you leave feeling confident, comfortable, and excited to see your gallery. This is your story, and I'm here to help tell it in a way that feels natural, stress-free, and uniquely yours.

Be you.

FAQ
This is my first photoshoot, what should I know?

My sessions are relaxed, fun, and centered around making you feel comfortable. I'll guide you through natural prompts and poses while also capturing the candid moments in between. If something feels awkward, we'll adjust it. If you have ideas you'd like to try, I'm all for it. Want to see a few images on the back of my camera during the session? Absolutely! Need a few outfit changes? Go for it.

The only thing I ask is that you come ready to be yourself. Laugh, talk, play with your kids, hug your partner, and enjoy the experience. Those genuine moments are what create the most meaningful photographs.

By the end of your session, my hope is that you'll leave thinking, "That was actually so much fun!"

What should I wear?

The most important thing is to wear something that makes you feel comfortable and confident. When you feel good in what you're wearing, it naturally shows in your photos.

I always recommend neutral or earthy tones, soft textures, and coordinating outfits rather than everyone wearing the exact same thing. Think creams, tans, olive greens, rust, soft blues, and muted colors that photograph beautifully in any season. Try to avoid large logos, busy patterns, or bright neon colors, as they can distract from the connection and emotion in your images.

If you're deciding between two outfits, bring both! I'm always happy to help you choose once we arrive. You're also welcome to do an outfit change during your session if time allows. My goal is for you to feel like yourself, so don't stress too much—we'll make sure you look and feel your best.

How many pictures will I receive?

Because every session is unique, the number of final images you receive may vary. Rather than focusing on a specific number, I carefully handpick and edit the very best photographs from your session—the ones that truly tell your story.

As I continue to grow and refine my style as a photographer, each gallery may look a little different, but my promise remains the same: you'll receive a beautiful collection of high-quality images that capture the genuine moments, connections, and memories we created together.

My goal is always quality over quantity, and I never want to limit your gallery just to meet a number.

Are you available outside of Michigan?

Absolutely! I love exploring new places and am always excited to travel for a session. Whether it's your favorite local park, a charming small town, the beach, the mountains, or somewhere that's meaningful to you, I'm always open to new adventures.

Travel within my local area is included in most sessions. If your dream location is a little farther away, I'm happy to make it happen! Any additional travel fees will always be discussed upfront, so there are no surprises.

If you have a location in mind, let's chat—I would love to help bring your vision to life.

How far in advance should I book?

I recommend booking your session as early as possible, especially if you're hoping for a specific date or season. Weekends and fall sessions tend to fill up the fastest. That said, if you're looking for something last minute, don't hesitate to reach out! If I have availability, I'd love to make it happen.

Do you require a deposit?

Yes! A non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your session date. Once your deposit is received, your date is officially yours. The remaining balance is due before or on the day of your session. This helps ensure my schedule is reserved just for you.

When is the best time to schedule?

The best time for outdoor sessions is during golden hour—the hour after sunrise or before sunset—when the light is soft, warm, and incredibly flattering. Every season has its own beauty, so whether you're dreaming of wildflowers in spring, lush greenery in summer, colorful leaves in the fall, or a snowy winter wonderland, we'll choose the perfect time and location to match your vision.

How long does a session last?

Most sessions last between an hour to hour and a half but I never want you to feel rushed. Every session is different, and I like to leave room for genuine moments to unfold naturally. If we need a little extra time for outfit changes, curious little ones, or simply enjoying the moment, that's completely okay. I'd rather capture authentic memories than watch the clock.

What happens if the weather is bad?

Michigan weather can be unpredictable, but don't worry—we'll keep an eye on the forecast together. If heavy rain, strong winds, or unsafe weather is expected, we'll simply reschedule for the next available date that works for both of us. Sometimes cloudy skies actually create some of the most beautiful lighting, so unless the weather is severe, we may still decide to go ahead with your session.

What is your cancelation policy?

Life happens, and I completely understand that plans can change. If you need to reschedule, please let me know as soon as possible, and I'll do my best to find another date that works for both of us. Your deposit is non-refundable, but it can be applied toward a rescheduled session with advance notice. Last-minute cancellations or no-shows may require a new booking fee, as that time was reserved specifically for you.

Can I share my photos online?

Absolutely! I love seeing my clients share their photos and relive their favorite moments. Feel free to post, print, and enjoy your images however you'd like. If you do share them on social media, I'd truly appreciate it if you tagged me—it helps support my small business and allows others to find my work. The only thing I ask is that you don't apply filters or alter the images, as they reflect my editing style and artistic vision.
